California’s Covid Kitchen
This pizza has been sitting in my freezer since around the time that I started this…thing. I absolutely judged this book by its cover. It looked like a pizza that would be mediocre at best. I’ve also never been to one of their brick-and-mortar establishments, so I was just kind of assuming it was nothing special. I can honestly say, I was VERY surprised by how good this was. It’s not perfect, but it’s not the bad time I was expecting. Thank you, Arnold Schwarzenegger (I spelled that correctly on my first try!).
Pros:
Had almost a sweet flavor to it? May have just been the chopped peppers.
While not having enough cheese to satisfy me, it also wasn’t lacking any,
Cons:
Had a few chunks of tomatoes mixed in with the peppers. I’m not a huge raw tomato guy. (-1 point)
The crust is weird. It was almost in a slight bowl shape that flattened out as it cooked. I don’t know if it’s intentional or not, but it felt like some parts of the crust were more dense because of it. (-1 point)
