The Greenest of Mills Tavern Style

I will preface this by saying I really like Green Mill’s pizza, and would probably buy it more if it were not overpriced and tacky. According to their website, they serve award winning pizza. Is there some kind of special brand of police unit that deals with lying on menus? Then again, they could just make up their own award and give it to themselves. There also needs to be a ruling body that oversees frivolous awards. If I were in charge, I’d absolutely disqualify the Golden Globes. I might be getting a bit too political here. I have a lot of brain damage. Anyway, this pizza was good. Also worth noting that I tried the Pescara crust, too, and it was also pretty similar to the in-store flavor. The thick crust made for a not very filling but highly caloric pizza. This one (the Tavern Style) is better.

Pros:

  • Genuinely tastes like a freshly made, thin crust Green Mill pizza.

  • It includes pepperoni chunks in the toppings, making the flavor very evenly distributed.

Cons:

  • They seem to use the same herb that Urban Pie does, mixed in with the cheese. It detracts from the flavor. (-1 point)
